Shipping:

• Shipping to the U.S.A: Shipping within the U.S.A. is $9.85 for orders up to $162. For orders over $162, shipping is approximately 6% of your product total (including combined orders to the same address). Shipping for orders over $500 may take longer than the stated TAT (Turnaround Time) and will be based on actual shipping and insurance costs starting at a minimum of $29.70. We ship USPS Priority Mail, tracking and insurance up to $100 included. We will send you an email with your delivery tracking number when your order ships. INSURANCE: Shipments are automatically insured for order value of up to $100. This includes the total order value of combined orders (if you have multiple orders that are combined into one shipment, the shipment is insured for the combined order values up to $100). If you would like insurance for the actual value of your order(s) over $100, you can add $1.98 for insurance at check-out. If your order is $100 or less, you do not have to add any additional insurance.
• Shipping direct to Canada: We ship UPS, USPS First Class, USPS Export Rate, or USPS Priority Mail, tracking and insurance up to $200 included. The shopping cart will charge an estimated shipping price. Your final shipping cost will be based on actual shipping costs. Please write in the note section of you shopping cart if you prefer UPS or USPS. When your order ships, we will send you an email with your delivery tracking number. Because Canadian customers pay actual shipping, they will receive a 6% discount on product purchased (this discount does not apply to Custom Orders). The discount and any shipping adjustments will be refunded or invoiced when your order is ready to ship. For an exact quote on orders over $250, feel free to inquire at info@destinationwax.com . INSURANCE for Canada:  Shipments are automatically insured for order value of up to $200. • International Shipping including Canada via Mail-Forwarding Services: We can ship to a U.S. address if you use a mail-forwarding service. Examples include myMallBox (https://www.mymallbox.com/) and Savin Exporting (https://savinexporting.com/). Shipping to a U.S. address is $9.85 for orders up to $162. For orders over $162, shipping is approximately 6% of your product total (including combined orders to the same address). • COMBINED SHIPPING for PRE-ORDERS: You can combine orders placed within the entire Pre-Order period (for example all Pre-Orders placed between January 1st and the morning of January 3rd can be combined). To ensure this, please reference the previous order(s) that you would like to combine in the note section of your shopping cart and email to us at info@destinationwax.com. If orders are placed using different email addresses, you must request combined shipping even if the shipping addresses are the same; these orders will usually not be automatically combined. Your final shipping charge will be based on the total product value of the combined orders. You can combine RTS and Pre-Order products when available at your request.
• Shipping Holds: If you want your order shipped after a certain date or not on certain dates, please email your request to info@destinationwax.com.
•  Address Validation: If your shipping address cannot be verified, you will receive an email from Address Validator Orders <orders@roboturk.co> requesting updated address information. "Destination:WAX" will appear in the subject line.
• Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Mail: We are not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged once they have been accepted by USPS or other carriers, however, all UPS and USPS orders are insured for loss or damage incurred by UPS or the USPS. This insurance is the order value up to $100 maximum per package (this is not per order; if you have multiple orders sent in one package, the package is insured for the combined order values up to $100).  If you would like insurance for the actual value of your order(s) over $100, you can add $1.98 for insurance at check-out.If your package is not delivered when stated per tracking, contact the USPS asap: https://www.usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm . For damaged packages: https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm. Please email us at info@destinationwax.com if you need package size information for claims.
• If you are concerned about packages being left outdoors, you can add “Hold at Post Office for Pick Up” to your shipping address. Your post office may or may not honor this request, however, it is worth trying. Or you can submit an official hold request with your local post office.
• We ship from Connecticut, U.S.A., 06442.
• We are not responsible for any duties, taxes, customs, or broker fees that may be assessed on international shipments. Customers assume all responsibility for any of these or other additional fees that may be incurred.

 

Orders:

• Sales Tax: Connecticut Sales Tax of 6.35% will be added to packages mailed to Connecticut addresses only. The 6.35% tax applies to the total invoice (product plus shipping).
• Combining Orders: We do not store payment methods so are unable to edit orders after they are placed, however, you can combine unshipped orders to possibly save on shipping. To ensure this, please reference the previous order(s) that you would like to combine in the note section of your shopping cart and email to us at info@destinationwax.com. Your final shipping charge will be based on the total product value of the combined orders. Any excess shipping will be refunded prior to shipping, typically within a few days of ordering instead of when the order is shipped. We will not always automatically combine shipping so please notify us if you want combined shipping. If you have an order that contains RTS items and a separate order that contains non-RTS items, we will not automatically combine those orders, therefore, if you want them combined, you must request it, and those combined orders will ship within the TAT for the non-RTS items. If you have one order that contains both RTS and non-RTS items, that order will ship within the TAT of the non-RTS items.
• Cart Hold: Currently there is no cart hold. Items your cart may not be available when you finalize your checkout if someone else has purchased them before you. Inventory counts are not updated until customers have checked out.
• Cancelled Orders: Orders cannot be cancelled after shipment. Cancelled RTS orders will be charged a 20% restocking fee.

Products & Ordering:  Our Shop is open at various times during the year. The selection of scents and shapes will vary, depending on the month. Typical products may include Break-Away Bars, Foil Loaf Pans, Lavender Owls, Pink Sari Paisleys, Blocks, Mini Cakes, a selection of Destination Samplers, and Soap. We will close the ordering window early once capacity is reached.

Pop-Ups and Pre-Orders: We may occasionally offer special Pre-Orders and Pop-Up Items.

Order Issues/Returns/Exchanges: If the product you received is not what you ordered, please email us at info@destinationwax.com within seven days of receiving your package.  Include a clear photograph of your received items with the product labels clearly visible. We will do all we can to get the correct items to you. The perception of scent is subjective, as are scent strength and soaping qualities; therefore, wax melts and soaps cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.

We are unable to cancel and/or refund any orders placed online. If you receive a package that has been damaged by the USPS and would like our assistance with the insurance claim, please contact us within three days of receipt and provide as much information as you can about the condition of the package. Include clear photos of the damage to the mailer box and photos of all damaged items and we will try to help with the insurance claim. 

 Product Descriptions and Pricing:

In the rare instance that a product description or price or quantity is listed inaccurately, we have no obligation to fulfill an order that contains products with incorrect information. We will contact you regarding the error.

• Contact Hours: Our work days vary each week so please allow up to 48 hours for us to reply to emails and Facebook messages sent while the shop is open. If the shop is closed, it may take longer for us to reply. We will close occasionally for maintenance, vacations, and holidays.

 Our Wax: 

• Our wax is a proprietary blend of paraffin and soy waxes, formulated for exceptional throw, longevity, and trueness of scent. We hand pour in small batches to ensure the highest quality in our products.
• Our wax has been tested in and throws well in a variety of warmers including hot plates (15, 18, 20, and 24 watts), CandleAires, ScentSationals and Scentsy bulb warmers (25 and 40 watts), Scentsy bulb plug-ins (15 watts) for powder rooms, and tea light warmers.  For most rooms, 24-watt hot plate warmers work great.
• Packaging: All wax is packaged in polypropylene; the inner liner of the Kraft bakery bags is polypropylene. Store wax in original packaging or in a sealed polypropylene bag.
• Listed product weight is finished weight and is approximate; actual weight will vary but is typically more than the listed minimum.
• Cure Time: Cure time of two to four weeks after pour date is recommended. If a longer cure time for a certain scent is recommended, it will be noted on the Wax Scent List. Most vanilla scents benefit from a longer cure time of around 4 weeks or longer.
  
  

 General Information about Wax Melts / Wickless Scented Candles:

Melting Wax Melts: To prevent fire or injury: Remove packaging before use. Use only in tea-light warmers or UL listed electric warmers approved for wax melts. Read and follow all instructions provided with your warmer. Place wax melts in a warmer. Do not add water, oil, or anything else. If using a tea light warmer, there should be at least two inches between the flame and the underside of the warmer dish. If your tea light warmer does not have a two-inch clearance, do not use it. Do not leave warmers unattended while in use. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not melt on stove top or in non-approved appliances. Use only in well-ventilated areas away from flammable objects.

For most warmers, we recommend using 0.75 ounces of wax or more (2 to 3 cubes from a Break-Away Bar, 1/2 Shot Cup, one Block, or 2 to 3 Mini Cakes). Even better is two warmers per room - and two warmers with wax split between them works better than a large amount of wax (1.5 to 2 ounces for example) in one warmer. Too much wax in a warmer may not get hot enough to throw well. If your warmer has a wide dish, then 1 Shot Cup or 2 Blocks will also work well.  It is easy to cut the wax with a blunt knife or a soap/wax cutter. For small powder rooms, a wall plug-in warmer with about 0.5 to .75 ounces of wax works great. Scent strength may decrease in rooms with open windows and/or running air conditioning and/or ceiling fans.

Removing Wax from Warmers:  If your warmer has a removable dish, allow wax to cool completely and harden. Place the dish with the cooled wax into the freezer.  After about 15 minutes, the wax can be pushed out of the dish by pushing down at one edge with a blunt knife. Sometimes just tipping the dish over will be enough for the cold wax to slide out of the dish on its own. If your warmer does not have a removable dish, do not let the wax cool and solidify. Use a cotton ball or some wadded-up bathroom tissue to soak up the liquid wax and throw it away. Be careful, the wax will still be hot to the touch. Don’t become a statistic in the world of melted wax. Wipe out any remaining wax with more tissue.

Wax Pour Dates: The Pour Date on wax products is approximate...the actual date of when the wax was poured is within 5 days of the printed pour date.

Soap Information:

Our handmade soaps are primarily made from natural, moisture-rich vegetable oils. They contain no animal byproducts, alcohols, chemical hardeners, detergents, phthalates, sulfates, or sugar solutions.  The Clear Soap is our only soap that contains a surfactant. These soaps are not elaborate blends of chemicals and detergents, which can be both harsh on your skin and have a negative environmental impact due to manufacturing waste and their limited biodegradability.

These soaps rinse clean, leaving behind little to no moisturizing oils.

To get the best lather, use with a wet bath pouf or washcloth! 

 ~~ Soaps are handmade, therefore colors, shapes, designs, and weights may vary from bar to bar and may be different from what is shown online. The drop down list includes currently available soaps and the general color of your soap. Av soap, Clear Soap, Honeybee Soap, HSO soap, and Shaving Soap somewhat translucent or shimmery colors. Castile Soap, Goat Soap, Goat Soap Simple, OM Soap, and Scrub Soap are opaque colors.

 

AV Soap  --  You will get a moderately bubbly lather using with a wet bath pouf or washcloth.  A great summer soap!
Ingredients:  Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (kosher, vegetable origin), Aloe Vera Gel, Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan Oleate (emulsifier), Oat Protein (conditioner), Castor Oil (organic, hexane-free), phthalate-free fragrance, cosmetic grade colorants

Castile Soap  --  Our castile soap is mainly olive oil and provides a clean, fluffy lather.
For centuries, an all-vegetable-based soap was made in the Castile region of Spain from local olive oil. By the 20th century, castile soap had come to mean any vegetable oil-based soap, as distinct from animal (tallow) fat-based soap.
Ingredients:  Olive Oil (kosher grade A extra virgin), Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (kosher, vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan Oleate (emulsifier), Oat Protein (conditioner), Titanium Dioxide (mineral whitener), Castor Oil (organic, hexane-free), phthalate-free fragrance, cosmetic grade colorants

Clear Soap  --  This is our only soap made with a mild surfactant. We use this for small embedded decorations only.
Ingredients:  Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin), Purified Water, Coco Amidopropyl Betaine (surfactant from coconut oil & Dimethylaminopropylamine), Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan Oleate (emulsifier), Oat Protein (conditioner), phthalate-free fragrance, cosmetic grade colorants

Goat Soap  --  Has a delicate creamy lather.
Ingredients:  Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (kosher, vegetable origin), Goat's Milk (refrigerated liquid Vitamin D Goat's Milk), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan Oleate (emulsifier), Oat Protein (conditioner), Titanium Dioxide (mineral whitener), Castor Oil (organic, hexane-free), phthalate-free fragrance, cosmetic grade colorants

Goat Soap Simple  --  No added fragrance and no added colorant. Has a delicate creamy lather.

Honeybee Soap Simple  --  No added fragrance and no added colorant. This will have a light, natural scent of honey. Has a lustrous, silky lather.

OM Soap  --  You will get a moderately bubbly lather using with a wet bath pouf or washcloth. Do not use on the face or on sensitive, delicate, and/or damaged skin.

Shaving Soap  --  A lovely bar that is not just for shaving. Wet the bar and rub on a wet bath pouf or washcloth for a smooth & foamy lather! The Bentonite Clay adds some "slip" for smoother shaving and makes for a luxurious facial soap.

Scrub Soap  --  Great for hands, feet, arms, legs!  Do not use on the face or on sensitive, delicate, and/or damaged skin.
Ingredients:  Castile Soap [Olive Oil (kosher grade A extra virgin), Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin kosher, vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan Oleate (emulsifier), Oat Protein (conditioner), Titanium Dioxide (mineral whitener), Castor Oil (organic, hexane-free), phthalate-free fragrance, cosmetic grade colorants], poppy seeds, ground pumice, and shredded loofah

 

Bar Size:  All soaps except Slices are listed as approximate fluid ounces (volume), not in finished weight. Slices are listed as approximate finished weight.

Fragrances: Most of our soaps are scented with fragrance oils (all phthalate-free) and/or essential oils. Soaps labeled, “Simple”, have no added fragrance. Honeybee Simple Soaps have no added fragrance, however, they will naturally have a light scent of honey.

Colors: Most of our soaps contain cosmetic grade colorants. These include micas, clays, pigments, plant-derived colorants, activated charcoal, coconut carbon powder, and glitters. Colors may be different from what is shown online and can vary from bar to bar. Colors may change as the bar gets used.  Some soaps have mica and/or glitter on their surface; this mica and/or glitter will wash off after a few uses and the bar will have more lather after that. Although the lather on all bars is nearly always light in color, we recommend that you do not use white or light-colored cloths or towels with soaps of dark or rich colors. Soaps labeled, “Simple” have no added colorants.

Loofah, Oatmeal, Poppy Seeds, Pumice, and Salts: Soaps containing loofah, ground oatmeal, poppy seeds, pumice,  and/or salts should not be used on the face or on sensitive or damaged skin.

Packaging: Most bars are partially shrink-wrapped in polypropylene and then sealed in a polypropylene bag so the packaging may look clunky. This is necessary to protect the soaps in the mail. Use a sharp scissors to carefully cut off the polypropylene shrink wrap. Keep soaps sealed in their original packaging or sealed in a polypropylene bag until ready to use.

 Shelf Life and Storage:  Although the soaps do not have an indefinite shelf life, their lathering and cleansing qualities will remain for at least a year.  After a time, however, appearance and colors may change, fragrances may fade, and soaps may shrink slightly as they begin to lose moisture. Soaps may develop a translucent or white “glycerin dew”, which is beads of water being drawn from the air onto the soap surface. If this happens, you can simply use the soap or place it in the sun until the beads evaporate or wipe with a clean cloth. Do not let soaps sit in water; they will last longer if stored on a self-draining dish or on a soap-saver/soap-lift.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. 
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment: 
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. 
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. 
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
